Iowa Veterans Foundation, Inc Hometown Hero Banner Project

The Iowa Veterans Foundation is currently taking applications for the Council Bluffs Military Hometown Hero Banners. 

This program provides a decorative 2’ x 4’ street banner to honor those who have previously served. The banners will be displayed from July 1, 2026 through Veterans Day. To qualify for this program, the veteran being honored must have served in one of the United States Armed Forces and honorably discharged.

Please complete this form and send along with proof of military service, DD214 or certificate of service and a photo that you would like to be placed on the banner.

Cost of the banner is $100.00, which can be paid:

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, up to 100 total applications. Banner orders will be processed once minimum requirements are achieved.
