The Community Foundation hosted its third annual Mental Health & Substance Use Fund event at Iowa Western on March 26, 2025 for more than 50 attendees. The morning featured an incredible group of subject-matter experts sharing personal and front-line experiences, insights and inspiration, and available resources in our region for First Responders, Veterans, and their families.

The Southwest Iowa Mental Health & Substance Use Fund - a field of interest fund at the Community Foundation -- has granted over $31,000 to area nonprofit organizations providing life-affirming programs and services in support of mental well-being in western Iowa.
