The Community Foundation hosted its fourth annual Mental Health & Substance Use Fund event, Rise & Thrive: A Mental Health Morning Conversation on Friday, May 8. Nearly 75 community and nonprofit leaders came together to learn from one another and engage in an open, thoughtful dialogue about mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
The gathering was marked by a strong sense of connection, curiosity, and a shared commitment to better supporting both those we serve and our colleagues. The morning featured a lineup of engaging speakers who offered valuable insights, sharing both personal experiences and professional perspectives on fostering mental wellbeing at work.

The Southwest Iowa Mental Health & Substance Use Fund - a field of interest fund at the Community Foundation -- has granted over $31,000 to area nonprofit organizations providing life-affirming programs and services in support of mental well-being in western Iowa.
