An Inspiring Week of Community Impact Across Western Iowa
What an incredible week we had! Over 50 passionate community leaders gathered with us for our Make Communities Happen convenings in Mineola, Harlan, and Carson- each stop filled with energy, insight, and a shared commitment to strengthening our communities.
Make Communities Happen offered participants the space and support to take a deep dive into their community projects. Together, attendees challenged assumptions, explored new ways of thinking, and translated big ideas into actionable next steps. The conversations weren’t always easy, but they were meaningful, thoughtful, and exactly the kind of dialogue needed to spark real, lasting change.
In partnership with Dr. Jenni Frumer of Jenni Frumer & Associates, the Community Foundation was honored to host these convenings and invest in the people who are helping western Iowa thrive. We extend our sincere thanks to our generous host sites-Tobey Jack’s Mineola Steakhouse, Harlan Community School District, and the City of Carson Community Center-for welcoming us so warmly.
We’re excited to see how the ideas and connections sparked during this week continue to grow and make an impact across our communities.
