Vision Treynor Group is leading the transformational initiative of creating a new housing division surrounding the Treynor Family Recreation Complex, better known as "The T."
Vision Treynor Group developed the land for the 37-home subdivision with generous funding from the Charles E. Lakin Foundation Fund for Treynor, Iowa, a Field of Interest endowment established in 2024 at the Community Foundation for Western Iowa to enhance local housing, childcare and educational causes. The new housing development will be a catalyst for growth in the Treynor community, bringing new families, businesses and economic opportunities.
"We wanted to place it somewhere that could also drive development for the city," said Travis Castle, Vision Treynor Group president. "That development could be both business development and residential development, which all supports the strength of the city economy and the school district."
The Community Foundation for Western Iowa manages and administers the Charles E. Lakin Foundation Fund for Treynor, Iowa, an Endow Iowa Field of Interest Fund. With assistance from the Community Foundation’s Housing and Revitalization Committee, consisting of community members in the Foundation’s service area, the Fund helps support Vision Treynor Group’s work through impact investing, fund administration, and annual granting.
